What is FarmsOnLine?
FarmsOnLine (FOL) is a national rural property register set up by MAF Biosecurity New Zealand.
The register contains contact details of all stock and crop farmers primarily to help deal with any serious biosecurity and natural disaster threats.
FOL and the AHB
FarmsOnLine and the AHB have agreed to share land and farmer contact information with each other. The AHB and FOL worked with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC) to ensure strict adherence to the Privacy Act 1993 in protecting personal information.
How to opt out
While it is not compulsory to particiapte in FOL, it is strongly encourageed so that recovery systems can quickly be put in place should a disaster occur.
If you would like to opt out entirely from FarmsOnLine, you must phone them on 0800 FOLNZ (0800 436 569).
If you don't want the AHB to share your data with FOL, please phone us on 0800 4 TB INFO (0800 4 824 636), or complete the FarmsOnLine section on the following forms, Update Your Details or Herd Registration.
